ZU live @ Santeria Toscana (Milan – IT) 28th January 2026

Only few days after having released their most recent release to date, the 2xLP and digital Ferrum Sidereum with the label House Of Mythology, mastered my Marc Urselli (who worked with artists such as Mike Patton, Laurie Anderson, Lou Reed, among others), approximately one year after their last performance in Santeria Toscana in Milano, on 28th January, they played once again in the same venue a sold-out show to promote their new release. Their performance was part of their current European 2026 tour, whill will bring them from Paris to Berlin, from Bruxelles to Prague and on many other cities.

The trio formed by Paolo Mongardi (drums, percussion), Luca T Mai (baritone saxophone, synth, keyboards) and Massimo Pupillo (electric bass, 12-string acoustic guitar) brought on stage their new mastodontic 80-minute long release with an even greater energy than that expressed on the album.

For the whole performance, which lasted for 1h and 30 minutes, we stayed in the front row, in order to be fully overwhelmed by their astonishing powerful math/prog/post-metal/industrial/jazzcore instrumental controlled sonic maelstrom.

Of course, the band played their new stuff and, at the end of the show, everyone was fully satisfied by what should be labeled as a true experience. The band put on stage an incredible energy also considering they’ve been releasing music since 1999 and, of course, they showed everyone what does it mean to be Great Musicians.

Anything negative can be said about this live performance, the venue was perfect too for this kind of sound, and the band proved once again to still be at their top, so what else should be said? We hope to listen them on stage again and again with the same energy and passion, always playing great challenging music.
