Uncto – The Last Chapter

Published by Alessandro Violante on April 17, 2026

uncto-the-last-chapterAfter having produced some of the most radical industrial techno music for the last 13 years, Uncto, one of the most remarkable Berlin-based Furanum Records projects, has been put on hiatus.

Uncto was formed by the artist, mastering engineer and founder of Furanum Records label Dominik Müller and by Rafal Fürst. Actually, Dominik Müller is focusing on other projects, among which there’s an upcoming new release with his project Beuthen O.S., which will see the light in August.

Uncto’s last release The Last Chapter, released on 13th March on 2xCD, is an impressive body of work including some of the best tracks produced by Uncto through the years, plus some songs completed after having worked on them for much time (such as Mankind Is Disease and the title track), some previously unreleased songs only having been played live (Radioactive ShitGleiwitz), and remastered songs (Cold Knife). The release also includes remixes done by Ancient Methods, Orphx, Exium, Mondkopf and Dominik Müller, as well as other labels compilations contributions (Leaving Towards Another Dimension, previously released on FLUX Musical Art). All the details about the story behind each track are available in the Bandcamp release page.

The total length of the release lasts around 2 hours and 20 minutes, requiring to the listener to give the right time to this magnum opus of radical dark industrial techno, but if you give it its required time, you’ll be able to immerse yourself into a true active factory. The Uncto approach, which would be extended to the whole label oeuvre, is dark, claustrophobic, only apparently minimalist and, of course, industrial in one of its purest forms. As well as the dark ambient sound of Pain Inside opened the gates of this uncompromising industrial factory, the closing track Pain Outside closes the circle.

As sometimes was written in some old school records, play it at maximum volume.
